I have a chronic scoliosis which is only going to get worse as I get older. Seeing Emily once a week has given me hope. Of course it can’t get better but it can be helped and Emily is gently coaxing it to cope with everyday life. Without her help, guidance and understanding of my personal condition I would be in considerably more pain and constant discomfort. Small things I could not do before, I now have the inner strength and mobility to do – not much maybe to people with healthy spines, but a milestone to me. I’d recommend her to anyone with problems such as mine.
I look forward to my reformer class since Emily has successfully rejuvenated my body. Aches and pains are a thing of the past, confidence and energy returned and I no longer hobble around feeling like someone twice my age!
I can highly recommend both Pilates but especially Emily as a highly qualified, up to date & inspiring Instructor. I have experience of doing Pilates myself and feeling the benefits it brings when properly taught but also of referring patients to Emily who report back very positively of her classes and one to one sessions.
Pilates has become an enjoyable part of my week. My long-term back problems have eased as my core strength has improved. Emily is experienced and knowledgeable and is able to adapt sessions to suit an individual’s needs. Using the reformer enables me to get into some truly surprising positions which result in all parts of my body being stretched and strengthened.
Pilates with Emily has enabled me to develop my core strength, improve deportment and to keep all muscles throughout the body more supple. It has also helped me enormously with longstanding back stiffness and shoulder pain. I really miss it if I can't get to the session each week!
